Red Carpet Rundown: 2011 Academy Awards

The Oscars have arrived and this red carpet is sure to delight us with some hits and some misses. Here is a look at our favorite red carpet looks of the night.

Best actress nominee for Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence looked stunning in a simple red Calvin Klein sheath made by Francisco Costa, proving that minimal can still stun on the red carpet.

Presenter and Black Swan actress Mila Kunis looks ethereal in a lavender lace tiered Ellie Saab Haute Couture confection with ribbon detailing at the waist, paired with Neil Lane jewels and a Bottega Veneta clutch.

Hilary Swank dazzled in a platinum and feather drenched Gucci Premiere couture strapless floor length evening gown. Gray satin platform sandals with crystal encrusted heels completed the look.

Scarlett Johansen looked fresh in a shorter brunette 'do and deep eggplant one-of-a-kind lace overlay dress by Dolce & Gabbana outfitted with Anna Hu studs and a ring and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Country Strong actress and singer Gwyneth Paltrow sparkled in a Calvin Klein Collection dress, Brian Atwood’s pumps and jewlery from the Louis Vuitton collection, L’Ame du Voyage.

One of our favorites of the evening, Aviator actress Cate Blanchett looked impeccable wearing a light blushed lavender, strong shouldered Givency Couture dress with exquisite details in yellow. Her artful dress was paired with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.

Red Carpet Rundown Double Edition: The 2011 BAFTAs and The Grammys

Last Sunday may have been the Super Bowl, but this Sunday was a double header for red carpet events. The BAFTAs, known as the British Oscars brought out the best and the brightest from both the UK and the US. The Grammy’s celebrates the best in music. With the Grammy’s taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts taking place at the Royal Opera House in London, we were sure to see some of the upcoming Spring season’s trends as well as some red carpet moments to remember.

Thandie Newton wore a floral Monique Lhuillier gown accessorized with Charlotte Olympia shoes and Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry.

Rosamund Pike, who presented the Best Original Screenplay award to David Seidler for The King's Speech, wore a floor length Alexander McQueen halter gown.

Rising Star Award nominee and Easy A actress Emma Stone looked Springtime ready in this color blocked, one shouldered Lanvin gown and accessories in coral toned hues- the hot color for Spring 2011.

Julianne Moore stunned the BAFTA red carpet in a rich velvet jewel toned Tom Ford gown.

Emma Watson, in ethereal Valentino, presented the Outstanding British Film award to Tom Hooper, David Seidler, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Gareth Unwin for The King's Speech.

Selena Gomez looked sophisticated in a platinum hued J. Mendel dress, Lorainne Schwartz jewelry and Brian Atwood shoes.

Accompanying country music singer husband Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman wore a tired Jean Paul Gaultier dress.
