Milan fashion week brought with it sense and sensibilities. Bold hues, playful prints and easy silhouettes with impeccable construction were just some of the themes previewed on the runways. Accessories were pared down to compliment flowy, peasant inspired dresses and chic jumpsuits. From futuristic to florals, Milan showcased it all with refined beauty and wearability.

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce hosted a festive garden party on the runway, chock full of hydrangea prints, romantic frocks and gingham printed bloomers with ruffles.

Muccia Prada took a futuristic approach to the Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Bold color, streamlined silhouettes and stripes were the main themes to this a collection noted by Muccia as "exaggerated simplicity." Graphics of monkeys, bananas, Baroque-esque images and bright stoles made of foxtail added whimsy.

Gucci shined on the runway by paying homage to "Sophisticated Seduction." Chic meets a touch of flash in the form of a rich color pallet of green, purple, tan and black hi-lighted with bronze belts and .

Fendi channeled the seventies for SS11. Peasant style dresses, poet blouses and shirtdresses coupled with intricately leather-worked accessories round out the ladylike collection.
