As an admitted sunnies addict myself, I can’t help but fawn over the latest looks and trends of the moment. But before buying, it’s always best to understand your face structure and the best silhouette for you. Below are our tips on the types of frames you’ll want to try and the ones you’ll want to avoid.

Oval Shape

You’ll Look Beyond In: These are the lucky people. Most frame shapes work with oval faces. Square, rectangular and geometric shapes will add angles to soft curves.

You’ll Want to Run Away From: Frames that are too large and overpowering for your features.

Square

You’ll Look Beyond In: Oval and round frames, glasses with temples that are center set or that connect at the top of the frame. Butterfly shaped sunnies.

You’ll Want to Run Away From: Anything geometric or square shaped. These frames will only accentuate angles of the face. Low-set temples or color accents on the bottom of the frames that draw emphasis to the chin are also to be avoided.
