At the onset of Fall 2010 New York Fashion Week, the beautiful world of fashion has become a little darker today. It has been reported that young and inspirational British designer Alexander McQueen has committed suicide at the age of 40.
Mr. McQueen’s work was beauty beyond words. His creations were a juxtaposition of whimsical dreams and edgy darkness. His Spring/Summer 2010 collection- Plato’s Atlantis- was a masterpiece of a futuristic under the sea meets alien fantasy world. He was a true visionary in the world of fashion that will be sorely missed. RIP.
