I’m going to now have to admit something that I’m not necessarily happy about. In the past few weeks, I’ve been forced by the weather gods to turn on the heat- on multiple occasions. This sad development means one thing- winter is making its way to New York. Now don’t get me wrong, winter in NYC can be beautiful, the snow falling, the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Rockerfeller center and partaking in on my favorite childhood ritual- going to see the Macys Christmas window displays with my mom and sister. But it also means saying goodbye to bare legs and open toe shoes. I was mentally saying goodbye to Summer 2009 when I came across my new Fall excitement- legware. From leggings and opaque tights to stockings and leg warmers. From swiss dots and plaid to exotic embossments and lace details designers are making it easier for women to look stylish and stay warm when it’s cold out. This rarely occurs! As a result, I suggest we take advantage of it! What I love about this legware craze is that it’s an affordable way to vamp up a simple outfit.

Merino Walford Leggings get the rocker chic overhaul thanks to heavy metal details such as zippers and studs. Loves!

It's all about the 80's right now. These Walford merino wool tights in cobalt blue add color and texture.

The traditional fishnet stocking gets update by American Apparel with a diamond shaped motif.

Add some shimmer in your step with these Sparkly Tie-Dye Footless Tights by Free People.

These DKNY tweed tights are mensware inspired done right and office appropriate to boot.
Hugs and Handbags,
Nyla Noor

It was a sad day when we had to turn out heat on. Goodbye summer! Thankfully there is tons of great legwear to help warm up your outfit. I love the zippers and studs.
