Jeggings, Fall Staple or Torture Device?

Jeggings explained

Jeggings explained

People seem to feel very passionate about  leggings. So it’s no surprise that any variation of the legging, such as the jegging, or liquid legging would cause a mini level of hysteria in the world of fashion. Are they a look for everyone? Maybe not, but if worn with thought liquid leggings or  jeggings can be a genius idea, especially as a Fall staple. Jeggings and leggings offer a great alternative to opaque tights or jeans.

So how does one wear the updated legging you ask?  If worn with an appropriate top and paired with a killer pair of shooties this outfit can make anyone look great! Pair this look with a longer top. I would also suggest that the top be looser fitting as it will balance out the fitted look on the leg. Feel like your top is too loose? Belt it or add a shrunken blazer/ fitted cropped jacket for an instant slimmed down effect. Lastly, jeggings and liquid leggings always showcase your shoes so be sure to take advantage of those amazing shoes you love- the brighter- the better!

I think you have to be a certain body type to wear them. I think they are great if you are skinny but otherwise I feel that they enhance your faults if you are heavy.

I totally see where your coming from Laura, but surprisingly they dont enhance your flaws what so ever. I bought a pair of Niki Biki jeggings about a month ago and have gotten a lot of compliments on them ( and trust me im not the smallest girl of the bunch). They look exactly like skinny jeans or leggings, depending on what you wear them with. They are available at RepeatPossessions.com if you would like to take a look. Good Luck! I hope you like them!

Thanks for your comments! I think it’s all about how you wear it. As long as you balance out a heavier lower half with eye catching and slightly longer top (i.e. think statement jewelry, a waist accentuating belt) it can help pull the outfit together. And possibly most importantly, a little confidence always goes a long way :)

I love the look of denim leggings paired with longer tops and a boxy blazer. I don’t really like the liquid legging look though – no one can really pull that off!
