Welcome to our first blog post ever! We are super excited to introduce Nyla Noor to the world and share our stories with you as we work to create our first ever collection! Founded in 2008, Nyla Noor is an up and coming luxury handbag company that is being launched Fall 2009 by yours truly- two born and bred sisters from New York, Saifra and Romaana, who had quite the story before we actually reached here. Born 4 years apart, Saifra and I have done almost everything together. Originally, we had both dabbled in careers in fashion (Saifra at a wholesale clothing distributor and me at Coach). While Saifra made a move towards marketing/event planning, I settled into finance/banking. After a few years, Saifra followed suit, and before we knew it, we were both bankers working at top investment banks.  Still, we were looking for something more. With the economic downturn, and some twists and turns along the way, we decided it was time for a change. So with our extreme love for anything fashion,  obsession for luxe handbags, and inherited business savvy … voila! Nyla Noor was born! We hope you enjoy our daily musings on all things handbags, fashion, and pop culture!
